Congratulations on your second anniversary. The TV program “Twenty year trajectory of manhole children — Boldo and Dasha” which was aired in February 2019 brought a huge shock. This documentary which was aired three times over two decades from 1998, 2008 and 2018 revealed an alarming reality of Mongol that saw a rapid surge in its economy while leaving many scars of social problems. Mongol Kids Home was featured in 2018, which was established by Dr Eiko and others just 6 month before that year. As I saw the documentary, I started to hope for the opportunity to visit Mongol to pray for the land. Through God’s interesting work, I was given an opportunity to visit Mongol in June 2019 and I was able to visit Mongol Kids Home. My heart was moved by seeing the children who still carried many hurts from being abandoned and abused by their parents when they were young and neglected by the society. For us Christians, we are given the opportunity to heal these wounds as the salt of the earth. Salt has a medicinal purpose. The churches in Mongol has a future as they experience the living Christ and live out the love of God, rather than practicing their faith as religion or regarding it as education. I always pray for Mongol like this. For God to send the children who need the care of the home. For their parents to be able to believe in Christ and be saved. For the children to be granted a minimum living standard. For restoration of their family relationships. For the children to be able to receive proper education. For their economic stability and development of their welfare. For their homes to be financially independent and be given decent work opportunities. For them not to be involved in evil industries such as prostitution and other illegal practices. For Mongol Kids Home to be effective in preventative measures.
For this second anniversary of Mongol Kids Home, I would like to share these words from the Bible:
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.
